## What is it?

Zip archives downloaded more than 30 days ago. Safari and Archive Utility usually expand them right next to the original, so the archive and its contents often both take space.

## What happens if you delete it?

Not recreated. If the expanded folder or the installed app still exists, the .zip is redundant.

## How to remove it properly

Check that the expanded contents are next to the archive or installed (or double-click to expand and review), then move the .zip to the Trash.

A .zip can be your only copy of something, such as exported photos, a project backup or a downloaded purchase: check before deleting.
