The short answer

No. Your data. Shrink it from its app; don’t delete the folder.

What is it?

~/Documents/ComfyUI/output holds every image and video the ComfyUI desktop app generated. PNG files from ComfyUI also embed the workflow that produced them. It grows with each run, from a few GB to much more with video.

Everything you generated. Your work: offload or archive, never deleted automatically.

What happens if you delete it?

No. These are your results; generation is not exactly repeatable, so a deleted image cannot be recreated reliably.

How to remove it properly

Review the folder in Finder and move only the images you do not want to the Trash. To free space while keeping your work, move the folder’s contents to an external drive or a cloud folder, then check the copy before deleting the originals.

Better moved to an external drive than deleted.

Before you delete it

Deleting a PNG also deletes the workflow embedded in it.

How MoreRoom helps

MoreRoom recognises this as your data and never suggests deleting it. It shows how much space it takes, so you can shrink it from its own app.
