The short answer
No. Your data. Shrink it from its app; don’t delete the folder.
What is it?
Each .fcpbundle in your Movies folder is a Final Cut Pro library: your events, projects and, unless media is stored outside it, the imported footage itself. It also contains generated files (render files, optimised media and proxy media) that Final Cut can recreate. Libraries typically range from a few GB to hundreds of GB.
Your projects and media. Render, proxy and optimized files inside can be deleted from Final Cut and are recreated when needed.
What happens if you delete it?
The library itself is never recreated: deleting it deletes your edits and any media copied into it. Generated files you remove from within Final Cut are rendered or transcoded again when needed, which takes time.
How to remove it properly
To shrink a library safely, select it in the Final Cut Pro sidebar, choose File › Delete Generated Library Files, and tick render files (unused or all), optimised media and proxy media. Archive finished libraries by copying the .fcpbundle to an external drive while Final Cut Pro is closed.
From the app itself: Final Cut Pro: select the library, then File > Delete Generated Library Files.
Before you delete it
Never delete or move files inside a .fcpbundle in Finder. If media was imported with “Leave files in place”, the library only links to the originals elsewhere, so moving those originals takes them offline.
How MoreRoom helps
MoreRoom recognises this as your data and never suggests deleting it. It shows how much space it takes, so you can shrink it from its own app.
