What is it?
MacWhisper, a transcription app built on Whisper, downloads speech models into ~/Library/Application Support/MacWhisper/models. Models range from under 100 MB (tiny) to about 3 GB (large).
Transcription models downloaded by MacWhisper. They can be downloaded again from its settings.
What happens if you delete it?
Models can be downloaded again from MacWhisper’s settings. Your transcripts are not stored in this folder.
How to remove it properly
In MacWhisper, open Settings › Models and delete the models you don’t use.
From the app itself: MacWhisper > Settings > Models: delete the ones you don't use.
