The short answer
Usually, after a check. Might hold something you care about. Look inside before removing it.
What is it?
OrbStack, a lightweight alternative to Docker Desktop, stores its disk image in ~/Library/Group Containers/HUAQ24HBR6.dev.orbstack/data. It contains your Docker containers, images and volumes, plus any Linux machines you created. Size depends entirely on what you run, typically several GB to tens of GB.
Holds OrbStack's containers, images, volumes and Linux machines. Clean up from OrbStack; deleting the file loses all of them.
What happens if you delete it?
Nothing inside comes back by itself: deleting the folder loses all containers, images, volumes and Linux machines. OrbStack starts again with an empty disk.
How to remove it properly
Clean up inside OrbStack: delete unused containers, images, volumes and machines in the app, or run docker system prune from Terminal. OrbStack returns the freed space to macOS on its own.
From the app itself: In OrbStack, delete unused containers, images and machines, then let it reclaim space.
Before you delete it
Linux machines can hold your own files and databases. Copy out anything you need before deleting a machine.
How MoreRoom helps
MoreRoom recognises this item and labels it “Review first”: it shows what’s inside, its size and last use, so you can decide. Nothing is removed without your say, and everything goes to the Trash first, with Undo.
